One upcoming
movie just suddenly became controversial. Its the movie Tililing directed by
the Daryll Yap. On the reason it became controversial is because of its poster.
Really hoping that this movie will spread awareness and enlighten us on the struggles of dealing with mental health. But the poster? It’s a no for me. Mental health is NOT a joke. Stop the stigma. pic.twitter.com/EHndPS2khs

And the mental health advocates, supported her. Which in turn made Daryl Yap respond to Liza:

But in another
instance he said this:

“itong mga advocates kunô ng mental health,
binibigyan ako ng mental stress.
buti na lang sa paparating na pelikula..
hindi lang pili, hindi lang iilan.
naniniwala kaming lahat tayo ay may kabaliwan,
lahat may pinagdadanaan, halata man o hindi
LAHAT TAYO AY MAY #TILILING.”
Which in turn, made Liza to apologize:
Thank you kuya Baron for the kind words and sorry if I have offended anyone. I’m afraid my intentions were misinterpreted. I always want the best for films that tap into mental health, so I wish this film all the best. 🙏🏼Looking forward to seeing it. 🤍

My two cents
is this. The poster, doesn’t made me to be interested in it. I can say that in
the near future, I will not watch it. Not because it has offended me, in any
manner. But because it ‘snot my thing. Plus I don’t have the resources to watch
it. I have no job no at the moment, and even if I do, I will be very busy, to
make time to see is. The point is, the film is not out yet. So what Liza have
done, is judging the movie by it’s poster, and judging the movie by its poster,
is like judging the book by its cover. And judging the book by its cover, is an
act of stupid individuals. No one really knows to this point, how the movie
would even turn out. Is it even a comedy, drama , or horror. No one knows for
now.
To
celebrities, please know the full issue
before reacting. Speaking of stigma, if you keep doing that and being woke at
every issue, without knowing it fully, you and your colleagues will be stigmatized as dumb and
stupid. You might be the next, sa classroom may batas, and papaano kami
kakain, despite having millions of pesos in your name. I will not say shut
up, although I will like it if you do, but just know the issue better, before
speaking onto it. As Mark Twain said:
“ It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people
think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt.”
And please. let's stop this thing, of being offended in behalf. Only be offended if you're offended.
