DO THEY HAVE THE RIGHT?

The post intention is not to uplift the actions done by the Nazis.
The Nazis are condemn worldwide for their actions, particularly the Holocaust. They kill of what they believe anyone who is inferior to the Germanic-Aryan race, most particularly the Jews.
One of those who condemn the Nazis is the Catholic Church, on the notion that they suffer on the persecutions perpetrated by the Nazis. The question is, Is the Catholic Church, have the moral ascendancy to condemn the Nazis about the Holocaust?
The picture above shows, that the late Catholic Pope, Pope John Paul II begs forgiveness, for the sins of the Church, and for the 300,000 people burned at stake in the Inquisition.
Inquisition, rhymes with the term, The Final Solution. They are not different because it is mass systematic liquidation of people, that dont agree with them. With the Catholic Church, their faith.
One of the similarities of both the Final Solution and Inquisition, is they are both anti-semitic. One of the targets of both Spanish and Portuguese Inquisition are the Jews.
The figures 300,000, I believe is what the Pope only can recall, and the burned ones. What about the ones who died of tortures, to extract confessions from them. And others, killed by other means. And because long scope of time by the Inquisition, I believe that the mass murders commited by Hitler, Stalin, and Mao Zedong combined, cannot surpassed the real numbers of the victims of the Inquisition.
I said it because the scope of time of the Inquisition is very long, whereas the Nazis, Stalin and Mao's reign are only decades. And they are four kinds Inquisition. The Medieval, Spanish, Portuguese, and the Roman Inquisition which counts centuries in reign.

  3. I don't want to dwell on the stories of the past like Nazi as that's part of history and the world now works on cooperation and not discord.

  4. I can't comment on this post. Just let us history speaks for itself.

  5. We aren't going anywhere as a human race if the game is "you can't say X because you once did Y". Where's the maturity in that, right? Forgiveness is powerful, and doesn't require prerequisite action to do.

  6. Even if I'm always interested in past history, its pretty hard to deal with sensitive issues like this one.

For me, its best to move on and move forward. ^_^

  7. We are all human and bound to commit mistakes. We are entitled to our own FAITH and BELIEF about LIFE's existence and HOW we deal with the FLAWS of other people other than our own reflection in the mirror.

  8. I believe everyone has the right to choose their own religion but if it is to distract and divide your faith I guess its not a good religion.

    1. and what do you mean by quoting that, that is a fact that in time before you burn the non believer, if you are a catholic, and the pope admitted it through a confession thru penance

  11. Note: I am not attacking Christianity with this post, Christianity is very much different from Catholicism, as I said before Catholics are not Christians but Catholics

  12. I will have to agree with you that religion should not be forced on people. I guess that is what Lapu-Lapu and several of our ancestors tried to do when they fought the Spanish inquisitors. Yet, I see the importance of religion to bind people together. I cannot recall any major religion that did not experience a bloody past but its not the doctrine I guess that is at fault but the people who interpreted it in their own way.
