PLAYER 276 BUS EXPERIENCE

Anyone who had watched Squid Game, may have notice a fellow Filipino, especially on the episode where the players play the deadly tug of war. In the show he was Player 276, but in the real world he was Christian Lagahit.

His interview is trending nowadays, because he revealed a bad experience of racism, of South Koreans, when sometime ago he rode a bus. He was thrown a cabbage by an older lady, because she believes that foreigners are bad people. And other people in the bus are apathetic to him. I'm summarizing his interview. I am not in denial of the racism, existing in South Korea. It always present with nations who achieved progress. Every nation who are rich, most of them have racist feelings with contempt to other races that are not that developed. It's always like that. 

But you have to remember also, that the Korean peninsula, suffered brutal invasions and occupations by foreign powers all throughout their history. With the most recent, being Japan. So you have to take into context, that the older generations, will not be too trusting with foreigners. 

Are these the majority of their people? Maybe, but still not all of them. Would I stop watching K-drama's/movies/ or stop listening to Kpop because of this? No. Because the alternative is shit, and not even doing anything to improved themselves. In fact, Ang Probinsyano is still airing, with the story that's going merry go round, and eventually to shit, or is shit already. Their thousand episodes, is not even comparable to an episode of Squid Game.

What I just wanted to say is, hating Koreans on social media, would not make them good people. Hating them would just prove them right, from their perspective. And I'm worried, that it will start another social media wars, between Koreans and Filipinos. 

So what should we do about it? Prove them wrong. Constantly do good unto them, instead of retaliating with bashing. If we do that, they may have a about face of doing bad to us. Don't resort to cancel culture. Cancellation, begots bigger cancellations. It's a long fight, and with maybe no end, but it's a good just fight. While in this world and alive, it's not worthy to make enemies, especially those that we can be friends with. That's all for today.

SQUID GAME: UNANSWERED QUESTIONS AND THEORIES

If you have not seen Squid Game yet, you're maybe living under a rock.

In this article, I will talk about the theories surrounding on how the show ends, the unanswered questions it left behind. And at the end I will talk about a prediction, that I believe, I only constructed in my simple mind. To those who have not watched yet, spoilers alert, leave this now.

First unanswered question, is why? Why, the same question Hwang Jun ho(played by Wi Ha Jun), asked his big brother, Hwang Jun Ho(played by Lee Byung Hun). Why is he the frontman? And why he also spare his brother? That is some questions? This is why believe their will be a season 2, the next question, is what will it be? A sequel or a prequel?

If it's a prequel, it will surely answer the question of why, Hwang In ho became the Front Man. As it was revealed, Hwang In Ho, is also a former contestant, that won the game. It will also revealed, who is Oh Il Nam, the host of the games. Player 001 to be exact. Many in the internet are saying, that he is Seong Gi Hun's(played by Lee Jung Jae) father. In which I agree, for he and Seong Gi Hun, are agreeing on that they have the same house. But I have a weird theory, that have just popped out just now, the moment I am writing this now. Are you ready to listen.

Oh Il Nam and Seong Gi Hun, are the same person. Seong Gi Hun, became extremely rich, in the future. But he has no family, so his life is miserable, but he is rich. He traveled to the past, and established this games. I will explained later, how he became corrupted that he made this insane games.

Another theory of mine is. In the beginning. Their are four children, playing against another four children. I believe, that the four children who are teammates, are Seong Gi Hun, Cho Sang Woo(played by Park Hae Soo), Hwang In Ho, and the suit man, who is played Gong Yoo. I don't think, that they will put Gong Yoo, Lee Jung Jae, Park Hae Soo, and Lee Byung Hun, in a series, and Lee Byung Hun, and Gong Yoo which are the bigger stars of the series, having a role of little screen time and importance. And their appearance, can't be considered a cameo. It's just not.

Now we will come back to the question, on why Hwang Jun Ho, was spared? My theory is the Front Man, want the organization to failed, by police intervention, or military by the South Korean Government.

One thing I also see coming, is a confrontation between Seong Gi Hun, and Hwang In Ho. He might be the Front Man this series, but I think in the next, he might be the new host. And their will be a confrontation.

But while the confrontation is about to happen, he knew that the stepfather of his daughter, ended up accumulating debts too, and became a participant as he is. He wanted to help but the stepfather was eliminated early, so as him, but not really. Hwang In Ho, handed him the keys to the games. It was the will of Oh Il Nam, to hand him the games. 

Years passed, he discovered that many of the people, that ended up in the games, are assholes, even the ones that won are. Only few are good and well intended people. But most of them are weak. He was corrupted, and enjoy seeing them die.

Then her daughter, Gayeong joined the games. Because her stepdad fucked up, and accumulated a lot of debt. She survived it, until the marble games. But she was saved, because Seong Gi Hun, was now the game master. But the daughter can't accept what his father has become, and killed herself. It broke Seong Gi Hun. and had become sick. 

Then he decide to come into the past. establishing the games. He recruited himself, in an intention to kill himself. But ended up winning, beginning the eternal cycle of depression. That's why he said, it's been a long time since he have fun. That is being my theory, that Oh Il Nam is Seong Gi Hun who time-traveled is right.

Whoever theories will be right, we will only know, if their is a season 2, and there should be a season 2. Cause there are some unanswered question. Some of it, I may have not even enumerated. They needed to be answered. That's my theory, and I hoped, I'm right. 

STUPIDITY AND MISPLACED ANGER

This quarrel about our societies are really unneccesary. Here is my point of view that I post to Facebook, days ago.

The BTS Biot is trending both in Philippines and South Korea, for a time now. It's started because of some students posting some pictures with a whiteboard with that caption. The trend has blown out of proportion, and the country was embarrassed and seen as homophobic. It doesn't only attack the K-pop fans of BTS, but also the LGBTQ+ community. But the thing is, South Korea considered BTS as one their national treasures. Promoting their country all over the world. And Koreans take offense on thiis because. Now it's not only the Armys that have become our enemies, but most of South Korean people. And to those who do not know, biot is rehashing of the word bayot. Bayot is a visayan dialect of the word gay. Sometimes, that word is used out of slur, and not of definition. And connecting that to the group of BTS, and we had a disaster.

The reasoning behind the slurs is, is it not for the BTS itself, but of the ARMY's, the fandom of the group. And ARMY's are one of the most toxic fandom, among K-pop fandoms. I understand that you can be irritated by them, for most of them, not all really are. 

So why attacked BTS? The group have not done things that are condemnable. If you are irritated of the ARMY's, why vent on BTS? It's injustice for their part. They did not deserved such attacks. Maybe the ARMY's do, but not BTS. And many stupid shits are bandwagoning on the trend just for the fun of it. And now the country was embarrassed.

And because it was embarrassed, some of our countrymen, who heard the news, want to un-Filipino. Really? Just because of that, you will want to forsake your country. Although its trending, it's not the entirety of the Philippines that did it. Most of us don't even cared about it. Their are some stupid shits, but they are not the entirety of us. It's unfair to do that. It's only an internet issue.

Their are some things that you can still be proud of as Filipinos. We saved people, who are seeking refuge, when everyone refuses them. The Jews, who were exiled from Germany and Europe by the Nazis. We had help South Korea, to be free from communism. They prosper and become rich, and to look down at us, because we are poorer than them. We can still be proud of that. 

You may said, that I have mention that they are looking down at us, for many reasons. As I believe that the trend of the BTS, is not the entirety of the Philippines. I also believe that it's not the entirety of South Korea. Many of them maybe, but not all. All countries of the world has their own groups of assholes. I still believe on the potential of the good, than the prevalence of the bad. We must believe on that.

All I'm saying is if you're irritated by the ARMY's, attacked them, but not BTS itself. Don't just bandwagon on the things you don't know, or only know a little. And if you will un-Filipino just because of this. You don't deserve a country.

THE 3 K-COUPLES THAT MIGHT GET MARRIED THIS YEAR

 

I am writing this February 11, 2021, only 3 days away from Valentines Day. Even though there is a still a pandemic going. There is talk about love, and how they will spent their day come February 14. Would they still go on dates, while observing social distancing? I don’t know. But these three couples, will sure have someone to spend with come Valentines Day, and maybe, for the rest of their lives.

Here are the three K-Celebrity couples, that I thought might get married this year. Although their are other reasons, the main reason I think why they are getting married, is because love is overflowing between the two of them.

HYUN BIN & SON YE JIN

Among the couple listed in here, they are the newest. Yet they are the oldest in terms of average age. I am not against these two getting married, but I am against them rushing it. Knowing what happened between Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo, who dated shortly, got married, and then got divorced eventually. And for those who doesnt know, Song Hye Kyo, is one of the ex-girlfriends of Hyun Bin. I don’t know why I am mentioning it here.

But there is a saying in my country that, you can stop an overwhelming flood, but not an overwhelming love. Their are rumours, that Hyun Bin is preparing in secret for their wedding. But nothing is clear. Anyways best wishes, if they push through.

LEE KWANG SOO & LEE SUN BIN

These two said have started dating back when they met on Lee Kwang Soo’s show, Running Man. But, Lee Sun Bin, appeared twice on Running Man. One is the Running Man TV episode, the other is when Lee Sun Bin, appeared, with other female guest. But when the news of their dating leaked out, Jeon So Min claimed that she gave the number to the other. Its not clear whether it’s Kwang Soo’s or Sun Bin’s number that was given to the other.

Then Lee Sun Bin appeared on a certain talk show. The topic at the time was, about house. Then the host asked, but the translations varied, it’s between these two translations. One is, is there a tall person, you have to live with? The other was, is there a tall person you are living with? Although the questions, implicates different things, the answer of Lee Sun Bin was, there is. Kwang Soo is tall, so it’s definitely him. The only question is, what translation is correct. If it is the latter, Lee Sun Bin is now living-in with Kwang Soo. If its the first, she has plans to lived with Kwang Soo. It only means, that they will eventually be married. The question for now is when? Sooner or later?

JUNG KYUNG HO & CHOI SOO YOUNG

This couple is very private about their relationship, and rightfully so. Choi Soo young, always evade questions about her boyfriend, fearing that the conversations might go the wrong way. Jung Kyung ho, on an interview said, that Soo Young changed her fashion, and eating habits. But they are not very talkative on each other to the media.

Although they are that. Dispatch provide some insights, on how sweet they are to each other. One is when they were caught shopping together. The other was the most recent, is when they were caught seeing each other, hugging, and signaling hearts when they depart. With the years they have dating, they are very ripe to get married.

Congratulations on these couples, on having someone on their side. Especially this times. And congratulations on their weddings and marriages in advance. That is if they will do it these year.

FIRST COUPLE REVEAL OF 2021

 

Its somehow became a tradition by Dispatch, a paparazzi company in South Korea, to reveal dating celebrity couples who are secretly dating by the New Year. Backing it with pictures taken, when the couples are dating. Somehow by the end of the year 2020, they hinted two couples. One are idols of the same agency, which is not yet revealed, by the time this is written. And the other was an actor/actress couple, in which turn out be, Son Ye Jin and Hyun Bin.

This will be a short one. I am happy for them, and still surprised that it was them. But looking back, they follow a pattern, that might hinted Dispatch, to follow and watch them closely. Most actor couple s that have been revealed in the past, had work together, in one, two, or three consecutive projects, whether it is an ad, drama or movie. Son Ye Jin and Hyun Bin, worked in two consecutive projects, one is in the movie, The Negotiation, and the famous drama, Crash Landing On You.

Although both of them are in their late 30’s, and not getting any younger. I won’t advice them, if they were to listen to me though, to rush themselves into marriage. Eventhough we don’t, or I don’t really know, exactly how long they have been really dating. If it’s on the projects where they’ve met, it’s still not that long. I would advice them, to enjoy their love of each other. Then marry when they feel its right to do so. I am against them rushing into marriage, because of that other couple, that had dated after their drama, married and had a grand wedding, and still ended in divorce. Although everyone knows who they are, I ought not to mention them here, cause I think it’s inappropriate.

If the problem is bodily constitution, especially of Son Ye Jin, in building a family for them, science can compensate. There is this surrogate pregnancy, the child would still be of Son Ye Jin and Hyun Bin, but Son Ye Jin, wont carry the child in her womb, but another woman. And I think, both of them can afford it. Wow, they are just dating, and I’m already thinking about them having a family. All I am saying is, that they shouldn’t if they plan so, rush themselves into marriage

And the message of Son Ye Jin to both fans and Hyun Bin is really heartwarming

“I'm thankful to have been able to meet a good person, and I'll work hard to tend [the relationship] with care. The love and support that all of you give me, I'm always keeping it in my heart. I hope there will be many good things in the new year. Be healthy.”

Now we will be waiting for the other couple. But if we could let them be, let them be. Eventhough they are celebrities, they still have the right to privacy. Anyway, congratulations to the new couple, and have a blessed new year.

CANCEL KOREA, REALLY?

 

I will say this early on, I will not give up on K-Drama, K-Pop, K-Variety just because of this shit.

It all probably started when a Filipino tiktoker, Bella Poarch, who is not even living here, posted on tiktok, it’s not clear whether she has that tattoo or her father, a tattoo of the rising sun flag of Japan. To those who not know, that flag was the flag of the Imperial Japan. The time when Japan conquered a fourth of China, the whole of Korea, and almost the entire South East Asia, along with it, our own country the Philippines. With that imperialism, atrocities follow. And with all the countries that fall under their rule, Korea, or then Joseon, suffer the most of it. Girls were kidnapped, and force to have sex with the troops, in brothels. Man were force to served in the Japanese army, as frontline troops, and the others are emigrated also to do force labor. They are treated as second class citizens in their own land. So you would imagine, how deep is the hatred between South Korea and Japan. I dont know if South Korea, and also the North, had not fully forgiven, or not really forgiven Japan for it.

So seeing the rising sun flag, is offensive for Koreans. Had Bella Poarch just post it, their would not have been any problem. But she tagged the word Korea, along with the words I Love Korea, with the tattoo of the rising sun. If you’re a Korean, how would you feel seeing that? Knowing all the history behind the flag. I will feel insulted if I am one.

But the excuse was, she doesn’t know anything about the history of it, and apologized. And the series of insults and counter insults began. And Cancel Korea was born. Asking to boycott K-dramas, and kpop idols. As I have said early on, I wont give it up for this shit.

Its not that I am defending racism. Racism is evil, not just bad. But we Filipinos, are also guilty of it. In fact all nations, are guilty of it. And our racism are much worse. Just look, why many from Luzon, hates Duterte even if they have not known him personally. Some of have even edited the picture of Duterte, paying respects to the fallen of Jolo blast, making him look like eating dog food. Why is that? Because of the mere fact, that Duterte is from Mindanao, a Bisaya, and they that hate him, are Tagalogs.

So before we called Cancel Korea, we must cancel racism first, in our own ranks. We cant counter hate, with hate. It will just produce more hate. And Yoda said, hate leads to suffering. If they are down at that level, we should up the level, not go down with them. We should be the better person. If they are generalizing, we should not. Share love instead of hate.

IS A PROBLEM, IS AN IMMINENT DANGER

IS, is a problem and an imminent danger that may cause World War 3 itself. But first who and what is IS

IS, which means Islamic State, is a branch of Al Qaeda on Iraq, a jihadist group who wants to established a caliphate, in which Sharia Law will be implemented. Their group is led by Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi. Their group is much like the Taliban but more traditional and more violent. They kill those who dont want to be converted to Islam, and beheaded a number of American journalists. They are so violent, Al Qaeda which is also a jihadist group, denounce IS, cause they say, IS will damage Al Qaeda's reputation, which begs the question, What reputation?

Among those who are killed are Catholics who lived in vicinities now occupied by IS, who had not escape. This has led a reaction from Vatican, which in the past always advocates peaceful solution, to bombed the IS as the only solution.

The red represents the territories now occupied by IS. IS hates America and also hates Russia. They hate people what they believe as infidels, or non believers. After they are denounce by Saudi Arabia's Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdulaziz Al al-Sheikh, naming them as the number one enemy of Islam. They threatened to attack Saudi Arabia, in which thank God is not happening yet.

And after all the troubles, America the superpower, is not doing anything, with the exception of doing airstrikes. Which historically, America should know that it will have little effect and sometimes none, it had not lower German morale in World War 2 nor the British when bombed by the Germans, and also done nothing to stop North Vietnam in the Vietnam War. Military strategist will agree to this.

I don't know, maybe America is to be blame with this. They attack Iraq for imaginary WMD's(Weapons of Mass Destruction). If Saddam have stayed in power in Iraq, this may not have happen. In the first place Saddam is not a threat anymore, after the first Gulf War. Dick Cheney, the VP of US in Bush Jr. administration advocate to attack Iraq in worry that they may give WMD's to the terrorist. After all we know there is no such thing as WMD's in Iraq. Now we are here with this IS.

As I said IS want to established a caliphate, a caliphate to unite all Islamic countries into one. Inevitably this will include Iran which itself presents danger because of two possibilities. If Iran is to fall which has a lower chance of happening, IS may obtain nuclear capabilties, thats one, If Iran is to win and push IS into defeat, they will be closer to Israel. And Iran close to Israel is a very combustible element which can lead to World War 3, however it is only a possibility for now.

It is imperative for US and UN to take actions on this, they should put troops again to stop the advance of IS and push them to defeat. They should also established a permanent base in there, just like in South Korea, as the threat their is permanent. The threat is always permanent in the Middle East. they should have known that, not only from IS, but also from Iran and Israel. Their presence there may served as a deterrence for any threats. Whatever badmouthing US is receiving, the truth is IS and any terrorist group fears the US.

Now what is the implication of the happenings in the Middle East concerning IS to the Philippines. If they are to attack Saudi, first and foremost, many OFW's are there, secondly we are dependent on the Middle East oil. And recently Abu Sayyaf pledge allegiance to IS. A number of Filipino has been recruited by IS as Mayor Rodrigo Duterte and Former President Fidel V. Ramos has said. And I the author lives in Mindanao, particularly Davao, we suffered three bombings in here which has killed and injure a lot of people from terrorist attacks. And that IS rising in the Middle East worries me. That's all

ANG SATELITE NI KIM

Hindi nga natuloy ang sinasabing satelite launch ng North Korea, dahil sa masamang panahon, ngunit sa araw ng bukas, kung bumuti ang kalagayan ng panahon, ay baka matuloy din ito.

Patuloy nga ang pagbababala ng NDRRMC Chair Benito Ramos, tungkol sa launch sa mga nakatira malapit sa maaaring bagsakan ng debris ng rocket booster, na halos kalahati ng eroplano daw ang laki.

Hindi nga ang nakakatakot ay ang pagbagsak ng anomang debris mula sa kalawakan. Ang nakakatakot nga ay ang mga pangyayari na maaaring maganap pagkatapos ng launch. Matatandaang ang Japan ay naghahanda ng kanilang mga patriot missile upang maintercept ang mga debris na maaaring mahulog sa kanilang bansa. Ganoon din naman ang South Korea at ang United States.

Ang tingin ko nga sa ginagawa ng North Korea ay isang provocation, ngayon ay gumagalaw na ang Japan, South Korea, at ang United States. Maaari ngang wala talagang lamang nukleyar ang satelite daw? at baka sadyain nilang talagang padaanin sa mga bansang nakahanda, at boom, declaration of war sa mag-iintercept ng satelite rocket nila. At malinaw naman ang pahayag ni President Obama, "their will be no reward for provocations, those days are over" noong March 25, 2012.

Nakakapagtaka naman ang katahimikan ng bansang China sa isyung ito, na nagpipilit din naman sa kanilang claim sa Scarborough Shoal na lubhang napakalapit sa Pilipinas kaysa sa kanila. Matatandaan na ang China ang isa sa mga bansang tumulong ng labis sa North Korea noong Korean War.

At kung sakaling matutuloy sa araw ng kinabukasan ang satelite launch, habang sinusulat ko ito, ay mangyayari nga ito sa Friday The 13th.

I hope it will be truly only a satelite launch!
