WHAT DOES THIS MEANS FOR THE UNITED STATES?

Many are comparing what is happening now in Kabul, on what happened before in Saigon when the US is trying to pull-out from Vietnam, in the 1970's. It's not the same. The US never defeated the Viet-Cong, and North Vietnam in the Vietnam War. They might have caused casualties, and damages. But they never defeated Vietnam. On the other hand, they defeated Taliban, and got the revenge of 911, by killing Osama Bin Laden. But why did the Taliban return, and takeover the capital?

The simple answer is, US fought a two prong war. One in Afghanistan, and one in Iraq. And both ended in failures. The adventures in Iraq, didn't prove anything on the accusations of weapons of mass destruction. And as many people have said, Saddam might be a tyrant, but he stabilizes the region. That even the Saudis, disagrees on the attack on the country. They took out Saddam, and what happened? They unemployed all member of Saddam's political party, from the government. Which is stupid, why? They didn't do that in Germany after World War 2, because they can't. No one will run Germany, if they take out all Nazi party members, in the government. They only took out those who they deemed responsible for war crimes. But they didn't do that with Iraq, those who became unemployed, especially army personnels became the foundation of the ISIS. It destabilizes Iraq, and Syria. And they pulled out, which the other powers, Iran, Turkey, Russia, maybe in a way China, took the opportunity to get in. Which I believe is not in the US foreign policies interest, and their allies to in the region.

Now Afghanistan. As the time progress, and the objectives are fulfilled. I think they lost interest on it in a way. Maybe because of high cost of maintenance, and criticism at home. Then President, declared that they will pull out completely from Afghanistan, with the deadline in September 11, 2021. 

So how did the Taliban took over? How did they get the arms and weapons? I don't know. But what I know is, as US is pulling out, China and Russia are getting in. One Taliban leader, even met the Chinese Foreign Minister in China. Another angle was, US is pulling out, so that China will have these problem Afghanistan. That they may pivot to China, because of the treatment of the Uyghur Muslims in Xinjiang. But that's not confirmed, and only the days will tell, if that will happen.

The images of the exodus are horrifying. People in fear of the return, of the Taliban, hang on to planes as it flies. And of course they will fall. Why did it happened? Because they never treated Iraq, and Afghanistan, like the Germany of 1945. Had they done so, we might have a different Afghanistan and Iraq. But some may say, that can't happen because of the culture and the people. I don't think so. Japan are a warring state, and a backward society, before they became like this. China also are a warring state, and a backward society, before they became like this. Even the US is like that in the beginning, and they are a superpower. Everything can be changed. Not even many, only one has to will it, and it will happen.

So why is Kabul not Saigon? US retreated in Saigon, and it remains a superpower nation. One other country retreated in Afghanistan, years ago. That is the Soviet Union. Four years after they collapse. Will the US collapsed in four years? We can never tell. But US is in a free fall decline, as a superpower.

And it also says something, about Duterte's foreign policy, not being to reliant on the US. And to those advocating we forcefully retake lost territories in the West Philippine Sea, because we have the US backing us. First of all, we don't have the force. Second is, we may not have, the US backing us, despite promises. Last time, the Philippines were in trouble because of an Asian power. They flee first. Remember that, and just look what is happening in Afghanistan now.

SHOULD US GIVE MORE?

 

President Duterte and Senator Lacson, got into bit of word war, because the President told the Americans, that if they want to somewhat extend the VFA, that they should pay more. Senator Lacson, told the President to read the constitution, and the Philippines are not a country of extortionist. But then the President retorted, that the payment is not of money, but of armaments.  And the question is, should the US give more to it’s ally, the Philippines?

You may have heard many times in the past, from many US Presidents in the past, and officials that the Philippines is a strategic ally, of the United States. With the title strategic ally, I think the United States should give more.

I mean, it will be their problem too, if the Philippines remained too weak. We are the chink in the armour, along the strings of allies of United States in the region. Japan is strong, South Korea is strong, Taiwan is strong, Indonesia is strong,  Australia is strong. Only the Philippines is weak in the region. And we are a strategic ally.

And the opposition might, oppose or criticize the idea of Duterte asking more payment, from the United States. Especially the main opposition party, the Liberal Party. Let me remind you, the party of the Aquino, that Ninoy Aquino himself agrees, to these idea of Duterte. He even word it rentals. Watch his statement in this documentary  NINOY: The Heart and The Soul, on 1:13-23-1:14:58 about the US bases at the time. And I will quote some part of it.

“Rather than continue the situation of this nature. May we therefore ask the United States government that they pay us rentals for these bases, so that with these rentals, we can now update the position of our Armed Forces, we can have our own missile batteries, we can have our own missile frigates,we can have our own modern weaponry. Rather than go out with our hands out...” –Ninoy Aquino

So why US should give us more. First of all there is a threat now, unlike before. Before we are only a launching pad for Vietnam. Now there is a threat of the paper dragon. And the US knows that they are really a threat. And if they will not give more to the Philippines. They will have a problem in the West Pacific. China may invade, or force the Philippines to give Pacific positions to them. At least if we are strong, China may think twice. And as an ally, US should help, because it is on their interest too.

But why Duterte is asking for more armaments? It is because we want to have the capability to stand alone. Not to ultimately defeat China, we can’t . We only want to have the capabilty to bloody the nose, so that China might think twice, of confronting us. With our present military capabilities. It can only cause a scratch, and it might be an insignificant scratch.

We want to stand alone, because US has a history of abandoning allies, along  with its western friends. Look at Poland, The Allies, promise help, but left alone to face both Germany and the Soviet Union. Lost their freedom in 1939, and gain it only after 1990. That’s a 51 year freedom lost.

Look at Great Britain, Winston Churchill pleaded with all of his heart, to then US President Franklin D. Roosevelt, to join him in the war against Hitler’s Germany, after the defeat of France. He did not get it until Japan attacks Pearl Harbor, and Hitler declares war on the United States. That’s almost a year of abandonment.

Philippines in World War 2, was left alone by Americans to the Japanese. Although they came back, but it destroyed Manila, and left a lot of jeeps. And it had let the Japanese to do atrocities to Filipinos.

South Korea, Syngman Rhee asked for weapons, for him to wage war in the North. They declined, and US pullout of the South. The North Koreans attacked. The Chinese got involved. And the peninsula is still divided.

South Vietnam, although they start by supporting them. They abandoned them, when things go south.

The United States has this habit abandoning allies. They are unreliable, when it comes to a shooting war. So to that former justice, who is saying that the US will come in, if there will be an incident with China and the Philippines. You are very naive, to think that. You are not a student of history.

So its only right to ask US to give more. All they have given us in the past, are obsolete helicopters, tanks with no guns. C130 scrap of weaponry, Maybe its high time to give us, newer weapons. And I believe the government is willing to pay. We all know that it’s not cheap to manufacture such weapons. But I envy Iraq, in a way. It’s a former enemy, and a conquered state yet it has possesed US weaponry that the Philippines didn’t have. And we are called a strategic ally. Is it because we don’t have oil? Why is that a former enemy have that kind of weapons, but an ally was given scraps? Why is that? Your Excellency, Mr. President Joe Biden, why is that? Why is that?

REMATCH 2024

 

The Biden administration should not really f*** themselves up, or else they have a problem coming to them. With the vote 57-43, only 7 Republicans turning on the former President. Trump was acquitted twice, after being impeached twice.

I mean, its basic. Impeachment is a political process. Democrats should have thought it through before doing this. Even President Biden, is not that optimistic about this. That it should not be a priority of the Senate. And then this happen, most Republicans still back Trump, and no matter how strong the argument is, with Democrats not having enough numbers. Trump prevailed.

And what is the implications of him winning? This story is still developing, by the time this was written, so what I am saying maybe superseded by things that will and might happen still that we dont know for the moment. The implication is that he might run again for President. Bad thing if he win, bad thing if he lose. If he win, he might f*** up America again, if he lose, he might repeat the events of January 6, 2021.

And with that stripping of memberships that happened in some clubs, that the former President have joined and everything. I think if he run, he will remember those guys. For he is a vindictive guy.

I mean, if he somewhat run, and wins. I hope the pandemic is over. He is really not good in handling the pandemic. And that withdrawals, with the Paris accords, WHO. Foreign policy he has some little points, Korean War ends in his administration. The I can bomb you reminder, policy. And somehow, he got the Arab states, and Israel, to work with each other. Because those two sides hate each other.

The wrong with Obama though, is that he is trying to ease sanctions with Iran, for them not to pursue, nuclear weapons, talking to them and European allies, even China and Russia, but not talking to important side in the region. Israel. Now with Biden elected, they are trying to resume talks with Iran. But this time, they should talk with Israel, cause it’s a ticking time bomb, in that region, with Israel being paranoid and nervous. It may even go nuclear, God forbid.

And locally speaking, the policy of America with Biden for the Philippines, and China is still blurry at the moment. Obama has this don’t care policy. Trump is tough on China. Biden I don’t really know, which is why it’s scary. And to the fate of Duterte, I hope they don’t intervene in our affairs. And also don’t provoke confrontations within this region, in which the Philippines, might be put in the middle of.

Biden still has to prove himself. He has to address the CoVid problem correctly, and I hope he doesn’t go wrong in foreign policy. I hope for the success of these administration. A second Trump, and a possible renewed two terms, I don’t like. Reversal of policies again, that are bad for the world. And because of that, allies might lose trust completely. And with that, China will fill the void, and I don’t want China being in the leadership position of the world. It will not be good. I mean, if I am an American, I might vote Republican, but not Trump. If Trump runs again, please re-elect Biden. That’s all I can say for now.

IT COULD ALSO BE CHINA

 

Attack on Titan, to me, or at least for many, is the best anime to come out this year, and maybe the last decade. It is because of two things, relativity and realism. It has the corruptions of government, horrors of war, conspiracy theories. And now they are resembling history, particularly that of Nazi Germany, and that Germany that come before it, that was screwed in World War 1.

Opening scenes of season 4, looks like just the trench warfare in the fields of France in World War 1. And to quote them: Do you remember this war we’ve been in for four years?  World War 1 started in 1914 and  ended in 1918. That's four years. Am I the only one reading between the lines like this. Of course not.

But if you saw the title, it says, it could also be China. On what sense, that it can also be China?  I am not saying; Hajime Isayama thought that it could also be China. I can never read minds. But how did you saw the German comparison? It’s on a lot of websites, that is saying that it is. What I am though, is I really love comparing things, where I saw resemblance. And I can also see resemblance of China, on Attack on Titan. Especially with the Marley Empire.

Marley is a great empire, and mainland superpower in their world. China is the mainland superpower in Asia, since 2000 years ago. It has declined, but came back as a superpower. That even the United States, thinks twice of confronting it militarily.

Marley also was persecuted, and belittled by a larger Empire, Eldia. In which they undermine it, and ultimately defeated. Making the Eldians to retreat to Paradis Island. Now in the history of China, there could be two comparisons for Eldia. And I dont think the first one was in Hajime Isayama’s mind. Because first and foremost, he is a Japanese. Or maybe because he is a Japanese, it has crossed his mind. But we can never be really sure.

Japan tried to really conquer China since the Ming Dynasty, through Joseon, now the Korean Peninsula. They succeeded for a while in the 1930’s. but because they acquired emnity with the western powers, especially the United States. China along with allies, defeated Japan. Like the Eldians, the Japanese commited atrocities, wherever they land. Most infamous of them, was the Nanking Massacre. They are also records that they commited heinous experiments, againts Chinese people. A lot of atrocities, was not forgiven by the Chinese up to these day.

Japan knowing the might of the Chinese Army, wants also to re-arm. Change the constitution, that limits or prohibits them for having an army, as a punishment for being defeated in World War 2.

Another country that might fit the gloves of being Eldia, in relation to China, is Taiwan. Before World War 2, the world recognized Chiang Kai Shek, as the leader of the Republic of China, of which the whole mainland was under his authority. But when he lost the Chinese Civil War against the Communist. He retreated to the island of Taiwan, in 1949. Both of the two countries claim authority over the entire mainland. Although the Peoples Republic of China, is the one that sits on the throne in Beijing.

And unlike in Japan, China might risk war, to retake Taiwan. The only thing that might hinder them was the protection given to Taiwan, by the United States.

China dont recognized Taiwan, even as a country. Although many countries doesnt recognized them as well. Maybe even their ally the United States, I am not really sure. Even a slight mention of it, will be met by protest, or diplomatic protest, by the Chinese citizens or government.

In the Kpop scene. Tzuyu, a Taiwanese member, of the kpop group TWICE, was scene holding a flag of Taiwan in one of their music videos. Chinese netizens protested heavily, making JYP to force Tzuyu to issue an apology to China. Which is rather unfair to the Kpop singer.

Another thing is an episode of Running Man, where they played a monopoly liked game, in which capital cities of the world was mentioned. And because Taipei was mentioned, along with Beijing, they protested. In which for an outsider, is too petty. Have you seen a Taiwanese person, who cries foul, everytime Beijing is mention as a capital of China. No. Maybe the Taiwanese people, should protest everytime there is a mention. But maybe the Taiwanese people, doesn't want to look petty in the eyes of the world.

There is still alot of resemblance, between China and Marley Empire. Some of the manga readers might have know some of it already. No wonder Attack on Titan, was banned in China. They are afraid, their people, might have this interpretation. Which is not very far fetch, because I have this comparison, and maybe interpretaion.

WEST PHILIPPINE SEA: WAS HE RIGHT OR WRONG?

 

Note: This was written or finished around July 29, 2019. But for unknown reasons, I forgot to post this is on my blog. I think, the topic is still relevant, for Duterte is still the President of the Republic of the Philippines. And the issue involved will not be resolved, even in the near future. That is why I am still posting this.

I’m not really versed on what the UNCLOS says on the about the disputed territorial claims, nor the arbitral ruling, nor what the constitution says about the exclusive economic zone, or traditional fishing rights, or whatever terms that comes up, whenever we talk about the West Philippine Sea issue. What I know is the practicality of the situation, and the historical, most of the time response, of the United States on conflicts which are not directly their problem. The United States is the hope of the once that pursues to reclaim the territories now occupied by China.

But first, who should we really blame for this problem? Is it Duterte, because he is president now? Of course not. He is only 3 years in power. The one who is to blame, goes way back. It is those legislators who kicked out the Americans from Subic. Had the Americans stayed in the Philippines, would the Chinese behave this way? Of course not. Then after kickng them out, there was no effort to modernize the miltary, especially the navy. It was from Aquino, Ramos, Estrada, Arroyo, then again Aquino. Only from the Aquino the son, do they start modernizing, because the Chinese problem is apparent already. It has become too late. We lagged behind, and couldn’t catch up, in the arms race.

And the practicality. We can’t patrol the waters, because we have no or less ships, that can impose our rule there. Courage alone, can’t defend a country, we need weapons. We have less, compared to them. To those who keep blaberring, but we have the Hague Ruling? Yes, but we have no weaponry, ships. The two warships are still in South Korea, and will not come here, until after two years. Yet those two ships, are still not enough to defend it. Its too big a sea, for those two ships to handle alone. We need at least a fleet of them, and a fleet cost billions of dollars, which we can’t afford now and in the future. To upgrade the navy fully, at least the essentials, will take at least 10 years. So what we can do for the time being? Peaceful coexistent and compromise, rather than confrontation and war. War will be more expensive, both in resources and in lives. We should know better. We too, suffered from World War 2.

A statement of Former Justice Antonio Carpio, I don’t know if he still on the Supreme Court, in an interview with Winnie Monsod, that he is depending, in case of war that America will intervene. Yes America, is still a military superpower, and will not be taken over, even by Russia and China, in another 20 years. But would they helped us?

Even with Mutual Defense Treaty that had been signed, between the Philippines and The United States. History suggest, that they will take a back seat first, before responding. A lot of things will happen, as they do nothing first. And China is not a pushover country, that they can bend. US will think twice on confronting China, as to China with confronting US. But it’s a different between the Philippines and China. And China knows this too, that the US will take a back seat first. So Duterte is right, to wait for the right time to confront China, with the ruling that has been granted to us.

To historically proved it, just look at the oldest and strongest ally of the United States, Great Britain. Back in World War 2, Winston Churchill, then the Prime Minister of Britain, lobbied for support and for the US to join him in the war against Nazi Germany. He assumed office in May 1940. Only when did Churchill got his wish? On December 7, 1941. A year and seven months. A lot has happened then. France surrenders, Britain is losing on North Africa, Hitler has attack the Balkans, the Mediterrenean, Britain is being blockaded, and Soviet Union was attacked and is retreating, with the Wehrmacht threatening Moscow. Only when Japan attacked Pearl Harbor, did he help Britain against Nazi Germany. Imagined if the US responded, as Churchill wants it? The thing is, as long as USA can stay out, they will stay out, especially if its against a strong power too, like that of Germany then, and of China now. If that is how they treat their oldest and strongest ally, we are only an ally, and not really an important one, what can we expect from them? United States is not a reliable ally, we can’t depend on them to defend us.

Plus, then and the current leadership of the United States, don’t want confrontation with China. Obama stated, why should we have on pieces of rocks in the sea, referring to the Scarborough Shoal, not an exact quote. And Trump, is on an America First Policy. He is turning inward, although he has some progress with North and South Korean relations, on foreign policy. Plus with the Iran deal. But Philippines is not on the radar on his foreign policy. I don’t know if he is going to be re-elected, or a Democrat candidate will take the helms of power, in the White House. But I don’t see any radical change of policy against China, even if its a new leadership. Philippines will still be not as important, as Japan and South Korea.

So for the time being, Duterte is right. Peaceful coexistence, and compromise. We can’t fight them, and our ally is not really dependable. China will one day, face trouble for what their doing to us. But it should not be a trouble that will cause us damage in lives and resources. Let’s keep the peace, and keep quiet for the time being.

A FEMALE PRESIDENT IN 2022?

Elections have finished, and everyone who has won is eyeing for a position. There are talks about the speakership of the House of Representatives, and also about The Senate presidency. Others eye for some commitee chairmanship. But no one asks about the obvious. Who will sit in the throne of power in Malacanang, after Rodrigo Duterte? Because let’s face it. The first thing, a politician thinks after an election, is the next election. And the next election, is a much more important election, than this years election. For it is a presidential election, we will elect a new captain that will stir the nation.

Everybody is saying that Mayor Sara, will be the next President after his father. For a number of reasons, that are logical. But for me, it is still too early this time to count the chicks. The eggs are not yet crack. But one thing is for sure, we may have a new female president, after President Duterte step down on 2022. I’m 70% sure of it now. Why? Because of the probability. Too many female candidates might run for office. And some of them, are too obvious in showing their interest. Let’s enumarate them.

Of course, there is the Vice President, Leni Robredo. She has too run, cause if she won’t, although it’s inevitable whether she run’s or not, it will be the end of the Liberal Party. It might cease to exist in the Philippines. The probability of her winning the race, is very low.  Just look at what happen to Otso Diretso, all of them lose the race, which whom she endorsed. It’s just like saying, we don’t want you, and like you. Plus, she does things that ruins her. She attacked the President, with his Hitler remarks, that he might do to drug addicts, what had Hitler did on the Jews. Yet she, when she went to Germany, sits on the tombstones of the Jews, that Hitler had massacred on World War 2.

There is also Grace Poe, who is also not an administration senator, but chose to stay away from the Liberal Party. She was rank second among top 12 senators, that had won this election. She thanked the people for electing, and she is saying that she is not from the administration, she had not compromised her principles. What does she really meant by that? She is announcing her bid for the Presidency.

And a little rant, to some candidates. To those who have won, who want to thank the people for their support. Thank us, by doing your jobs right, and not stealing the taxpayers money. Stop posting posters, thanking the people, that you won! That posters, will just become additional trash that you will never clean by yourself! There is this partylist here in our city, that I will not name, but are connected to the Nograles, everytime they won, they post this thank you posters, congratulating themselves on winning. Are what you doing a bit narcissistic, on your part? Stop doing that. Nakakainis para sa mga tao,at magdadagdag basura lang. Sorry naubusan ng Ingles.

If the number 2 will run, what more about the number one? Cynthia Villar, 20 million plus voted for her. If she can maintain that number, until 2022, then she may have a chance. Although some political analyst say, that being number one in a senatorial election, doesn’t always translate to also winning the presidency. Just as her husband did, on his own bid for the presidency.

And now, the most obvious choice. As some political analyst, and common people say who is most likely to win, Mayor Inday Sara Duterte. The daughter of the sitting President, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte. If their will come into fruition, this will be a first time in the history of the Philippine politics, and election. A parent passing the reins of power, to his child, as if it was inherited, like in the time of kings and emperors. As if it was dynastic. If it will happen though, it will not be dynastic, for it went through the process of election. If she will be the choice of the many, then she will be President.

Although, the people will be the one that will put Sara in the seat of power. There are many outside factors, that will help her, other than us. First is her father, the current president. Although he utter some words, that the earlier his children go out of politics, the better, and the presidency will only destroy her(Sara). The action speaks otherwise. Why is Mayor Sara, on the entourage of the President, when they did some signing of deals in China? She is not needed there. There is no other reason, but preparing her to takeover, at the end of the term. Because let’s be honest. It became a tradition, of newly elected presidents, suing the former presidents and jailing them, for their alleged crimes. Duterte has many crime allegations. If other candidates win, we can’t be sure. But if it’s Mayor Sara, well she is her daughter.

Others are foreign influence, particularly the Xi Dynasty of China. As I said, she was on some of the trips on China, and other countries. China has poured money in our country. So would they chose a new unknown personality, that might derailed their investments? No, they will go to people that is reliable. And who could be the other choice than, an another person named Duterte also.

The other thing is the West Philippine Sea issue. I commend this administration, for handling the issue with prudence, rather than with rashness that may led to miscalculations, miscalculations that may led to war. I think Mayor Sara will continue, the same foreign policy.

The West might also like her. For she is not an extremist, like her father, who hates them. She might have a moderate view of the West, especially of the US.

Those are the only two factors. They can’t really rely on the Military, not because they are traitors, but their loyalty, is on the constitution, rather than the person who is the President. The business community, are split-minded with the Duterte’s. Some like them, most do not. And the Church, specifically the Catholic Church leadership, don’t really support them.

I know, that it looks like, more of a endorsement rather than a prediction. I might vote for her, if she runs. I’m not saying, that there will be no male candidates, that will run on 2022. They will be some. If they continue on pushing Tito Sotto out of the Senate Presidency, then he might be adversarial, and become the new face of the opposition. Plus his answer on the question, that if the senate will still be independent, despite the overwhelming win of the administration senatoriables and reelectionist. His answer was, on every senator’s mind, someone is whispering, you might become president of the Philippines sooner. So that’s why the Senate, will be still independent, despite of. He is a senator too, is someone whispering on him too?

Other names might be Marcos, the son, Pacquiao, etc. But as with Aquino, the son, and Duterte himself run as President. Their are some unforeseen events, that made them run, and somewhat help them win. On Aquino the son, was the death of their mother Cory Aquino, and Kris Aquino’s pronouncement. On Duterte’s part, was the decision of the Supreme Court, to let Grace Poe run. I’m still waiting for the unforeseen events, that might be a game changer. But as long as nothing happens, because of the probability, we will have a female president on 2022.

MY PRESIDENT IN 2016

Sila nga ang apat na matunog na pangalan na maaaring kumandidato sa pagka-Pangulo ng Bansa. Si Duterte, Si Roxas, Si Poe, at si Binay. Ang tanong na lang ay sino ang iboboto ko? Dati ay may tila manok na ako sa kung sino ang gusto kong umupo sa Malacanang. Ngunit dahil sa mga pangyayaring kasalukuyan. Ay tila nagkaroon ako ng change of heart.

Ano ba ang criteria ko sa gusto kong maupo sa Malacanang. Una ay Pro-US at Anti-China. Kailangan ngang ang susunod na Pangulo ay manatiling Pro-US. Gaya ng kasalukuyang administrasyon. Ang atin ay atin dapat. At mukhang si Roxas lang ang may ganitong stand kaysa sa lahat ng apat na ito. Si Binay naman ay tila gustong ibenta ang bansa sa mga Tsina. Sinabi niya daw na: China had the money, we need capital. Ano ang ibig sabihin noon?

Ikalawa ay yung may nagawa na. Si Binay, sabi niya kaya daw yumaman ang Makati, dahil sa kaniya. Na pinabubulaanan naman ng maraming mga kritiko. Si Roxas naman ay na-aakusahang palpak sa maraming bagay. Yolanda, MRT, Mamasapano, atbp. Si Poe bago pa lang sa pulitika, kaya wala pa masyado. Si Duterte naman ay nabago ang Davao. Mula sa murder capital ata noon, to the one of the safest city in the world.

At si Roxas ay tila walang kapag-a pag-asa na manalo. Dahil na sa pang-apat siya

Ngunit gaya ng laging sinasabi ng aking ina. Bago mag-eleksyon ay laging mayroong mangyayari na babago sa maaring maging landscape ng halalan. Kung papaanong noon na ang naglalaban lang sana sa Survey ay sila De Castro, Estrada, at Villar sa mga maaaring maging Pangulo noong 2008. Binarahan nga nila EDSA na ikina-inis ng maraming mga tao. Ngunit dahil sa sinasabing bloc voting ng mga politiko ay sumipsip nga sila Poe at Binay.

Marami ngang binawing buhay ang bagyong ito, na naging dahilan pa ng away sa pagitan ng isang pulis, at ng DILG Secretary Mar Roxas. CHIANG KAI SHEK, WHAT IF?

What if that picture is still on Beijing up to this day. Would we have a problem?

Siya nga si Chiang Kai Shek, the vanquish in the Chinese Civil War, against the communist, led by his arch-nemesis Mao Zedong. Bagaman siya ang talunan sa giyera, si Chiang Kai Shek ay isang mahalagang bahagi ng kasaysayan. Para nga malaman ang kaniyang kahalagahan, magtatanong tayo ng what if? Although there is a saying that goes like this, " Their are no ifs in history" because history is irreversible.

Ang unang tanong. What if kung hindi natalo ang KMT(Kuo Ming Tang) laban sa CPC(Communist Party of China). Sa China lang ay malaki na ang epekto, hindi sana nangyari ang malaking famine na kumitil ng 76 million sa loob ng tatlong taon, dahil sa Great Leap Forward, ni Mao. Bagaman ang istilo ng pamumuno ni Chiang Kai-shek is somehow fascist like style, he starts industrializing China, only the war halted it and the fall to the Communists and Mao's chaotic regime.

And the Tibetan question, would they have been still part of China? Yes, they have been part of China before, only that after the defeat of Chiang Kai Shek's forces, they separated from China, maybe because they don't like communism, because it is anti-religion, and Tibet is a religious land. Only that China invaded them again. They would have been part of China without bloodshed and grudges, unlike today.

Internationally speaking naman, may impact rin ba ang sana'y pananatili ni Chiang Kai-Shek? It would have save the world and mainly the United States of America from two major 20th century wars, the Vietnam and the Korean War, I presume. Chiang Kai-Shek, is an ally of the United States. Joseph Stalin might think twice of giving a go signal to North Korea to invade the south. Those were the story then, that Stalin give his blessing to North Korea to attack. Korea then will be unified, into the Democratic fold.

And as for Vietnam, China is one of their major supporters, supplies comes and goes through China from the Soviet Union. If Chiang Kai Shek is the leader, there will be no route for the Soviet Union to supply the North Vietnamese. And eventually I believe they will be defeated.

As for the Soviet Union and the United States, United States will dominate Asia. Soviet Union will be surrounded, will not have the buffer zones like China. United States will have more power over the Soviets. The Cold War will be shorter. And the United will have a longer reign as a sole world superpower, unlike now the time is running out for America, because of China.

For the Philippines, we would have lesser problems in the South China Sea I presume. That's how important Chiang Kai Shek. Sad thing is it is only a what if. A threat of authoritarian country becoming a superpower is very imminent. Good thing is America is still here to balance the power, but as I said the time is running out. Hope that America could find a time stopper, or transfer her power to counter balance China. But again, if their is a transfer, America is not to decide it.

CHINA, THE NEW SUPERPOWER?

Isa nga ito sa mga claim ng China, turing, at bansag ng ibang mga bansa sa kanila, the New Superpower. Ngunit may iba akong pananaw tungkol sa bagay na ito.

Na-achieve na nga ba ng China ang kalagayang pagiging Superpower Nation?Para sa kin ay hindi pa. Bakit? Ito base lang naman sa kasaysayan din. Ang Soviet Union bago ang Ikalawang Digmaang Pandaigdig, ay ang noo'y World's Largest Army, ngunit hindi pa rin sila considered superpower. Only after the war that they are consider as superpower.

Ganito nga ang kalagayan ng China ngayon, ang World's Largest Army. numbering a 2 million plus soldiers. Pero may achievement na ba ang malaking army na ito? Isang digmaan na stalemate ang kinalabasan(Korean War), at sa digmaang ding iyon ay tinalo pa sila sa isang labanan ng napakaliit, batallion nga lang ng Philippine Army na ipinadala ni Pres. Quirino, at ang nakakatuwa yung kakaunting ipinadalang iyon, eh kakaunti pa ang casualty. Samantalang kalaban ay libo-libo.

Ito nga ay para sa akin ang batayan ng pagiging isang superpower na bansa. Una malaking army and well equipped, ikalawa ay powerful weaponry, ikatlo ay malakas at malaking ekonomiya, at ikaapat ay world Influence and control.

Sa akin ngang apat na batayan ng pagiging superpower, hindi pa lahat ay kuha ng China. Totoo na malakas at malaki ang ekonomiya ng China. Totoo rin na ang China ay may malaking army, pinakamalaki sa buong mundo. Ngunit hindi pa nila nakukuha ang dalawa sa essential sa aking apat na batayan. Ang powerful weaponry, na kahit kailan man sa paniwala ko ay hindi na makukuha sa Estados Unidos, dahil sa kanilang patuloy na pag-uupgrade at paglilihim din dito. Maliban na lamang kung maungusan sila ng Germany.

At ang pinaka-importante sa lahat ay ang influence at control sa mundo. Hindi nga ito mangyayari sa kalagayan ng China ngayon. Bakit? Dahil napakarami nilang kaaway. Philippines firstly, Japan, India, Vietnam. Maging sa mga nabasa ko, pati pala North Korea, na kinikilala nilang ally, binubully din nila sa teritoryo. at pati ang Russia, na isang dating superpower, at di rin naman maikakaila ang lakas militar ay inaaway nila sa teritoryo.

Ang pagkakaroon ng napakaraming kaaway ang pumigil sa Nazi Germany, at maging sa Soviet Union, upang maging tuluyang superpower ng matagal na panahon.

At kung sakali naman na marating na ng China ang kalagayang ito, ay hindi pa rin marapat silang tawagin na New Superpower, dahil dati na silang superpower, noong ancient times, they conquer almost 1/4 of the world. Ang marapat na tawag sa kanila ay the Comeback Superpower. And as of this moment, the still no. 1 undisputed superpower is the United States, although the power is deteriorating.

CHINA & NAZI GERMANY

History is an important subject of life, because those who don't learn from history, are doomed to repeat it.

Isang pagkukumapara nga ang gagawin ko ngayon sa pagitan ng bansang China, at isang fallen Empire, ang Nazi Germany. May pagkaka-pareho ba sila? ating alamin.

Germany is an old empire, defeated, at pinagtulong-tulongan ng maraming bansa noong WW1, at bumangon uli para maging Nazi Germany sa pamumuno ni Hitler. Ganoon din naman ang China, isa nga sa pinakamatandang civilization sa mundo, at naghari rin halos 1/4 ng mundo sa loob ng mahabang panahon. Pero pag-angat ng mga makapangyarihang bansa sa Europa, ay hindi ito nakasabay. Kinamkam nga nila ang ibang teritoryo ng China. Sumali pa nga ang Japan sa pagkamkam noong 1900's. Ngunit sa pagtatapos ng WW2, at sa paglaganap ng komunismo doon, at sa pamumuno ni Deng Xiaoping, ang China ay muling bumangon upang makarating sa kalagayan nito ngayon.

Sa attitude naman pagdating sa teritoryo, ay tila may pagkakapareho bagamat magkaiba. Ang Nazi Germany ay ginamit na alibi ang mga German speaking people ay kailangan i-unite sa Germany, upang makakamkam ang Austria, at Czechoslovakia. ang iba naman ay kinuha by force, gaya ng sa Rhineland, at ang France ay hindi lamang lumaban.

Ang China naman ay gumagamit din ng alibi, napakaraming alibi. Nine-dash line. Kesho parte raw ng kanilang imperyo nila noong unang panahon pa, atbp. At mayroon din silang kinuha by force. Yung awayan nila ng Vietnam sa Paracel Islands noong 1974, pinaputukan nga nila ang Vietnam noon, at kinuha ang mga isla.

Pati sa kakampi ay matulungin din kapwa ang Nazi Germany at ang China. Tinulungan nga ng Nazi Germany rin noon ang revolution ni Franco sa Espańa,(hindi nga ang sa Maynila)at naging pasistang bansa ang Espańa. Maging ang Italya ay tinulungang maigi ng Nazi Germany hanggang sa katapusan ng digmaan.

Ang China ay ganoon din, tinutulungan nga nila ngayon ang Cambodia sa pamamagitan ng pag-aarmas dito, dahil may territorial dispute ito sa Thailand. Isa rin sa tinulungan ng China ang North Korea, na nagresulta sa stalemate ng digmaan, at ang tuluyang pagkakahati ng dalawang Korea. Kaya mali na sabihin na ang US ang dahilan ng pagkakahati ng dalawang Korea, gaya ng paninisi ng mga North Korean. Dalawang bansa, ang may kasalanan diyan, ang isa ay Japan, at ang isa ay China. Ngunit ang pinakamatagumpay na tinulungan ng China ay ang North Vietnam noon, Humantong nga ito sa unification ng Vietnam into a Communist State. 

Isang pagkakapareho ng dalawang bansang ito, ay ang pagpapanggap na tila api sa harap ng mundo, ngunit sa katotohanan ay hindi ganoon. Gaya ng Germany sa Poland, parang China lang sa Pilipinas, sinasabing ang Pilipinas pa ang nangbu-bully sa kanila, na isang bintang na malabo pa sa kanal na kinalaykaykay ng sampung baklang baliw na unggoy.

Ngunit may isa pang pangyayari sa Nazi Germany, na hindi pa nangyayari sa China sa kasalukuyan. That is the Poland incident. It may be the starting point of war victory of the Nazis, but it also the start of the turning of the world opinion against them, making the European powers to go against them, and America and the Soviet Union and ultimately to there defeat and demise.

And if China wont learn from history, and goes the way the Nazis go, they will meet their own Poland, and you know what will happen next.

THE CONFLICT THAT WILL NEVER HAPPEN SOON

Kung mahilig ka makibalita tungkol sa mga pangyayari sa dispute tungkol sa South China Sea, at nakilike ka sa mga anti-China pages, ay makikita mo ang isang post, na may titulong "WHY CHINA IS AFRAID OF MILITARY CONFRONTATION WITH USA". Ang kanilang paliwanag naman ay totoo, na nakafocus doon ang technological supremacy ng mga weapons ng United States against China.

Ngunit tanungin naman natin, bakit ayaw naman ng US din ng konprontasyon sa China? Ito nga ay dahil sa malaking utang noong panahon ni Bush ng US sa China. Ito nga ang nagiging deterrent sa kanila upang kalabanin ang China.

Ngunit naniniwala ako na ayaw ng parehong bansa ang gulo, because if they would clash, it will only mean one thing, WORLD WAR.

Kung one on one ang magiging labanan, ay hindi pa rin malinaw kung sino ang mananalo, malinaw ang technological supremacy ng US laban sa China, ngunit ang China naman ang may largest army in the world.

Para nga maintindihan niyo ang ibig ko ipahiwatig, ay babalik tayo sa kasaysayan. Nazi Germany, has the technological supremacy over the Soviets, but the Soviets has the numbers in terms of soldiers, and who won the war? The Soviets.

Yun nga ay kung one on one, but one on one is not reality. There will be always allies. And the United States has a lot of allies, most of them of them are powerful allies, like France, Britain, Germany, South Korea, and one that has conflicts too with China, Japan and many countries. China has one well known ally, North Korea. Cambodia as well maybe an ally. Vietnam is an ally before, but they have have clash with China, because of territorial disputes, and I dont know. if they will be still.

Russia is still a question mark, Putin as its PM, and China has too border disputes with them. And of whom will Russia sides, will be the winner of the war in the numbers game.

Ganoon nga kagulo ang magiging gulo na ito kung mangyayari, at sana nga ay hindi ito mangyari sa ating panahon. Dahil ang giyera ay mas matinding kalamidad kaysa bagyo at lindol. Ang lindol at bagyo ay oras/minuto/segundo lang itinatagal, samantalang ang digmaan ang tao ang magpapasya kung kailan titigil.

ANG PAGPAPAPUTOK SA BAGONG TAON

Kung papaanong may kakaibang pag-celebrate ng Pasko ang mga Pilipino, ganoon din nga sa bagong taon, naiiba ang karamihang Pinoy. Bagaman ang tradisyon ay galing sa China, ang pagpapaputok, at ginagawa rin sa iba't-ibang bahagi ng mundo, ay kakaiba pa rin ang sa Pilipnas sa aking pananaw.

Ngunit bakit nga ba nagpapaputok tuwing bagong taon? Ito daw ay para magtaboy ng malas at masamang espiritu. Ngunit kung Bibliya ang pag-uusapan totoo ba ito? Dalawang talata lang ang katapat to belie this belief. Santiago 3:16,15

Sapagka’t kung saan mayroong paninibugho at pagkakampikampi, ay doon mayroong kaguluhan at lahat ng gawang masama.

ANG MAGING HOSPITAL STAFF SA ARAW NA IYON. Una dadami ang trabaho nila. Ikalawa, imbis kasama nila ang pamilya, nasa ospital, at ikatlo sila ang makakakita firsthand ng mga sabog na kamay. Kahit pa sabihing tungkulin naman nila iyon. KUNG MAY SAKIT KA SA BAGA. If there is smoke, there is fire, the after effects of fire is smoke. At sa bagong taon ay mga firecracker na nag-eemit ng smoke, na nagsisimula wala pang alas dose hanggang sa pagkalipas pa hanggang magbukang liwayway. Just like in the picture it is an aftermath of a New Year celebration in the Philippines. And smoke, thick smoke is a nightmare of people who has lung ailments.

ANG MAGING TAGA LINIS NG MGA KALAT. At pagkatapos nga ng lahat ay kakatakot na kalat ang lilinisin ng sinomang maglilinis, mapa-street-sweeper man o ordinaryong tao lang ang maglilinis nito, na may tsansa pang maputukan din.

Ang obserbasyon ko nga ay ang Pilipinas lang ang tila warzone ang atmosphere tuwing New Year. Nag-cecelebrate din naman ng New Year ang ibang bansa pero wala kang mababalitaan na gaya ng sa atin kagulo. Maging sa China na pinanggalingan nito ay hindi naman ganito kagulo ng gaya sa atin.

At ang injuries na tinatamo tuwing bagong taon, nangyayari lang sa ibang bansa sa mga sundalo na nasa giyera, na hinagisan ng granada, binomba ang kampo kinanyon. At kada taon pa mas lumalaki ang paputok. The bigger the size, the bigger its damage. May bagong labas pa na ang pangalan ay Crying Bading at Ampatuan.

Sana nga ay mabago na ang ganitong uri ng tradisyon ng pagpapaputok, na wala namang naiidulot na mabuti, gastos lang, at mas lalaki pa ang gastos pag naputukan ka. Para ka lang nagsunog ng pera. Pwede naman walang paputok. Tignan nyo ang Davao City. Na pinupuri ng national government natin dahil sa mababang injury rate tuwing bagong taon. Hindi naman totally eradicated, pero bawal na bawal dito ang paputok. Magagalit si Digong.
